The Guardian Breaching Shield is constructed from 100% Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), a material known for its strength-to-weight ratio and unmatched ballistic stopping power. This advanced formula, developed exclusively, delivers protection that goes far beyond the minimum NIJ requirements.

Rated at Level RF1 / III NIJ 0108.01 compliance, the Guardian defeats the 7.62x51mm NATO (M80) round and provides multi-hit protection against 7.62x39mm MSC and 5.56mm M193 up to 77 gr. Our tactical models are also tested to stop higher-level threats such as the .300 Win Mag, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .30-06 Springfield, giving operators confidence in the harshest scenarios.

The Guardian’s patented breaching design pairs ballistic protection with tactical function. A unique Double Cutout (DCO) option allows officers to employ handguns or rifles while maintaining full shield coverage, while the optional 4”x6” viewport delivers crystal-clear visibility with a V50 rating of 3,220 fps. An optional Tactical Cover provides added protection and allows operators to kit out the shield with mission-critical gear—ensuring no pause in the fight.

Balanced, lightweight, and built with ergonomics in mind, the Guardian’s handle system centers the viewport to the operator’s eye line and shifts the load from muscles to skeletal support. This reduces fatigue, improves maneuverability, and keeps operators protected longer.
